Happy Thanksgiving Week! The
Two of Wands brings a
watch and wait energy for this upcoming holiday week. This card represents partnerships of all types, along with intellect and creativity. It also asks you to be kind and generous and remain balanced.
I really like the
Two of Wands. Whenever it shows up in my clients' readings, I'm delighted, because this card means that my tribe has been making plans and building foundations. They've planted a seed (or two or three) and now they just need to give them time to blossom into something that brings fulfillment. While you're waiting, the
Two of Wands allows you some extra time to pursue intellectual or creative pursuits. Maybe these pursuits are your next endeavors, or maybe you're just taking some time to learn on the left side of your brain or play on the right side of your brain.
I feel like I've been working with the
Two of Wands energy all month, because I've been participating in
Robert Lee Brewer's Poem-A-Day Chapbook Challenge for November. During this challenge, Robert posts a prompt on his
Poetic Asides blog and asks us to use this prompt to write a poem. At the end of the month, we can select the best of the poems created during the month of my birth and create a chapbook for Robert, who will then select a winner.
While I might not win the chapbook challenge, I am planting seeds with each poem that I write, because one day, these poems will be part of a book that will be published. What kind of seeds have you planted? What foundations have you built? Let the 9 Elephants circle know and also tell us when you see the results of your work.
This morning, I turned on the TV before I did my meditation, which is something I rarely do. But I thought it quite synchronous that the only thing playing, other than infomercials, was
Jack Hannah's "Animal Adventures". This morning's show was dedicated to elephants in Thailand. Hello! Elephants? I don't need a sign as large as this wise pachyderm to realize that I also needed to pull an animal spirit card for today's 9 Elephants' reading.
So I got out my
Power Animal Oracle Cards, created by Steven D. Farmer, and I pulled the
Dove . The title of this card is
Serenity, and its message reads:
Slow down, pause, and breathe
I think the
Dove card works well with the energy presented by the
Two of Wands. Both cards are suggesting to us that we take the time to not only wait for the fruits of projects already begun, but to just be still and breathe in Life.
If your Life is anything like mine, there are never enough hours in the day to complete all the tasks that you either willingly took on or found waiting at your front door. If this is the case, then we all need to realize that our hard work and concentrated efforts will pay off - but not this week. This is a week to rest and reflect. And since this is Thanksgiving Week, could there be a better time to do this?
I hope you all have a wonderful, restful week, filled with joy and family and friends and love and plenty of delicious food. And just for you Russell, I'll let the Dallas Cowboys refrain from resting, so they can bring you a win that I know will put a smile on your face. Perhaps we could all suggest that they reflect a bit more on their plays, though...
Happy Thanksgiving Week.
Namaste!
How wonderful that you use the phrase, "Slow down, pause, and breathe." You're not only a wonderful person, but a wise teacher.
Thank you for the warm Thanksgiving wishes. The only other souls sharing the day with us are our feline babies. But that's okay - Amanda and I enjoy being with just each other.
You and your family have the best Thanksgiving ever and if you have any pull with the Powers That Be in the Universe, could you ask them to fix my Facebook problem.
Take care.
