Hey, everyone. I don't know about the rest of you, but I could use a little quiet and rest. However, my reading this morning suggests that we're all going to be very, very busy next week. Say hello to the
Two of Pentacles, otherwise known as
The Juggler.
The
Two of Pentacles finds you juggling multiple projects while still maintaining balance and control. This card suggests that you "know the ropes" so you can handle whatever Life throws at you. It also reminds you that, if you're trying to make a decision and are deluged with multiple possibilities - be they job offers, love interests, designer handbags, or just trying to figure out which brand of vitamins works best - you'll make the right decision, because you are in control of yourself, balanced on the tightrope of Life.
As if this card doesn't already suggest that you're busy beyond any kind of Type A behavior imaginable, the
Two of Pentacles also tells you that you really need to let loose and have some fun. So, while you're juggling your job and family and friends and running errands and paying bills and coaching your child's soccer team or finding a cure for cancer, whatever you do - don't forget to go to the movies or go out dancing or play some tennis. Me, I'd be happy to just find more than four hours a night to sleep.
While I joke a little, I do know that we're all inundated these days. Not only are our lives filled with everyday stuff - like work and family - but many of us are branching out and trying to create something new in our lives. We're going back to school or thinking about switching careers. We're writing poetry again or taking French lessons. Most of us are finding that inner creative spark again, and while this is wonderful, it does make our lives a bit harder to balance.
Never fear, though. The
Two of Pentacles promises that we'll be able to handle everything with perfect balance and plenty of harmony. So, if you find yourself overwhelmed this next week, just take a deep breath and know that you'll somehow find a way to get everything done. And "getting everything done" might mean you decide that you're juggling one aspect too many, and you'll set something aside.
This is okay. A good juggler always knows just how much he can keep in the air while remaining on his feet.
And while I know that you're all very busy, please do take a moment to remember those that lost their lives in the recent earthquake in
Haiti, and, if possible, make a donation to a reputable charity trying to aid those dealing with the aftermath of this very destructive event.
As I wrap up this blog entry, I keep hearing Bill Crystal say,
"Have fun storming the castle" in the Princess Bride. While I don't think we'll have to actually commit to warfare, we might feel like we've been through basic training before this next week is through. So take your vitamins and don't forget to have some fun!
Namaste!
Thank you so much for being a part of my tribe. I'm blessed knowing you and being a part of your world. I hope that your knowing me is the same.
Namaste!
