Hello! So did you all have a busy week, juggling one activity or task after another? I know I did. I felt like I was juggling small planets, not just tasks.
However, I did accomplish a lot and I hope that you did, too. We continue working with the energy of the Pentacles. This week, we'll be working with the
King of Pentacles.
The
King of Pentacles is a wonderful card. It represents riches, both materially and spiritually. So this next week, perhaps you'll see a reward for some of the hard work you performed last week. While this reward could come in the form of something tangible, like a gift or money, in exchange for whatever task or service you completed, your reward could simply be a compliment or a "thank you". It could also be something as simple as your knowing that you took care of something that was necessary, like helping a loved one who was sick or
giving aid to those still suffering in Haiti. Knowing that you helped another in need should make you feel wonderful.
This coming week, the
King of Pentacles asks you to be steady and reliable and down to earth. There is a lot of confusion and chaos still swirling around the world, not only from natural disasters, but from those in power making decisions that could disrupt our lives. A good example of this includes the
United States Supreme Court ruling that allows corporations to give as much money as they'd like to political campaigns. This could allow already-strong corporations so much power that it is entirely possible that they could decide who maintains political office as opposed to us voting in who we'd like to govern.
With all that is transpiring in the larger world, it's important for us to keep our private worlds running smoothly, working with a grounded energy. A lot of the chaos that we are witnessing is occurring because the world is trying to move from a
young-soul energy to a mature-soul energy. The United States is progressing more slowly than other countries, so expect to see more upheaval when it comes to politics and policies in the next few years, whether or not you live in the US. Because the United States is so powerful, its decisions and policies reach out and touch the entire world, not just those within its borders.
This is why it's important for you to stay grounded. As you operate from a strong foundation, the
King of Pentacles also reminds you to be ready to help whenever possible. You just never know when a loving word or a simple gesture can get someone through a day they thought might be their last. Remember that we're all interconnected - if one of us is hurting, then we're all hurting, even if we don't realize it. So while you continue to reap rewards for your hard work, be sure and reward others with your generosity, both materially and spiritually.
Finally, it's not like the
King of Pentacles expects you to be working every waking minute. This guy is also really into the sensual aspects of Life. So for those of you in relationships, make some time this week to have some intimate and rewarding time with your loved one. You single folks, just because you're not in a relationship doesn't mean that sensuality cannot abound. Go to the spa, treat yourself to an expensive dinner, let the wind or rain caress your face, eat chocolate and mangoes, have some wine - do whatever you can to make your skin tingle and your heart beat a little faster.
