This week's reading takes us back to the
blog I wrote for this last Thanksgiving week, when I also pulled the
Two of Wands. What seeds did you plant during that week of Thanksgiving? Have you been tending to the projects you started? If so, what progress have you made? If you didn't take action during Thanksgiving week, the
Two of Wands suggests that you remedy this situation during the upcoming week.
As you know, when you work with the
Two of Wands, you are the creator of something that is needed in your personal universe. What do you
need to create? A better relationship with your children? A new job? Better health? Or, what would you
like to create? A new song? A new kitchen? A new you? The
Two of Wands does not just suggest that you build because you need to. You can also work on a project that nourishes your soul, which includes working on yourself.
Some of my friends are beginning to talk about Spring planting. If you need or want to do some gardening, this complies with the
Two of Wands energy. Maybe some of you need to begin Spring cleaning. For those of you who actually want to do Spring cleaning, I say "Mazel, and what? You like to clean?"
This time of year, many will be celebrating the holidays of
Ostara,
Easter, and
Passover. Respectively, these holidays represents a new day, resurrection, and freedom. In conjunction with the
Two of Wands, if you started a project and then let it go, this week brings you seven new days during which you can begin working on it again. If you didn't start a project, then let the resurrection energy help you draw from deep within and bring forth something new. For those of you who did begin working on something during the last Thanksgiving week, then what kind of freedom is this project bringing you, or will bring you?
For me, late last November, the company for whom I've been consulting for two years, once again asked me if I would become a perm employee. In the past, this company had tried numerous times to bring me on as one of their employees versus having me work contract, but each attempt failed due to corporate insanity. When this company approached me again in late 2009 and asked if I would go perm with them, I again said, "Yes."
With this
Yes, I planted seeds for a different type of job. However, once again, this company's politics got in the way of them bringing me on board as an employee in 2009, so I continued to work contract for them, with promises that a perm job would be eminent, most likely during the first quarter of 2010. Well, a perm job did appear during the first quarter of 2010, but not with the company for whom I'd been consulting.
About a month ago, I received a call from a former boss, who asked if I'd be willing to interview for a perm job with the company where she now works. While I loved the company for whom I was consulting, they had made me so many perm offers that had fallen through, that I thought, "You know, this might be the time to move on, even if I don't want to do so." So I interviewed with this second company and was made a perm job offer last week. This new job is not only going to provide me the opportunity to work with some incredible people, but it is also taking me to a new city. So while I thought I was planting
bluebonnets in Dallas, I was really planting
globemallows in Phoenix.
One of the aspects that the
Two of Wands brings is the understanding that good things are coming. I had waited patiently for this one company to bring me on board as one of their employees. However, Life decided that I needed to adjust my plan a bit; It took my initial actions and refined them into a result that has happily surprised me.
Therefore, if you find that you need to adjust your plan, don't be afraid to do so. Life loves to pitch unpredictability, so as long as you're willing to maneuver accordingly, you'll find that the result will be just as good, if not better, than that which you originally envisioned.
If any of you have any stories that you'd like to share about projects you started this last Thanksgiving week, please let the 9 Elephants tribe know how things are going. If you know you need to start working on something or would just like to do something that will make you happy, then use this next week to begin anew. Also, as you plant and plan during this upcoming week, the
Two of Wands reminds you to always be kind and generous.
Have a very fruitful week!
Namaste!
I love that you drew a picture of the outcome you're manifesting. This is great! I promise, progress is being made every day!
Much light and success to you!
You're right -- music is already a part of me.
Starting drawing again is also something I would recommend everyone!!! Please give it a try -- it feels so liberating.
Big Soul Hugs,
Jan
